Matt Slocum
Lead Teaching Pastor
Matt oversees the teaching team and is the primary teacher and communicator of the mission of New Wine Church. He is passionate about teaching the Bible as a story that connects people to Jesus.
Matt graduated from Alpha Crucis college in 2012, where he studied leadership and theology. Over the past ten years he has used his leadership experience in various pastoral roles, serving as associate pastor, worship pastor, youth pastor, and now as Lead Teaching Pastor.
He and his beautiful wife Madison live in Liberty, Missouri. They enjoy hiking, watching movies, playing video games, eating good food, and going to the gym together. Matt also loves to play music, write songs, read, and watch Chief’s football!
