Praise is the Breakthrough

Jan 18, 2026    Grant Braaten

This week in our Worship series, Pastor Grant looks at when breakthrough really happens—and it’s probably not what you think.

The battle plan in 2 Chronicles 20 makes zero sense on paper… and changes everything in practice.

Judah is outnumbered, overwhelmed, and honest enough to say the words we’ve all felt:

“We don’t know what to do… but our eyes are on You.”

And then God gives a surprising instruction—not to panic, not to perform, not to pretend… but to praise before the victory shows up.

What if the breakthrough you’re waiting for isn’t after the victory… but in the middle of the pressure?

The shift doesn’t come because the enemy disappears or the provision arrives. It comes when we take our eyes off the problem and magnify the Lord. Sometimes praise brings the breakthrough—other times praise is the breakthrough, and the provision is simply the result.

If you’ve been carrying anxiety, heaviness, uncertainty, or you feel pinned with no way out—this one is for you.

Watch this week’s message and be reminded: the battle isn’t yours… and praise is how you stand and see the salvation of the Lord.
